EGYPT, Alexandria. Julia Mamaea. Augusta, AD 222-235. Potin Tetradrachm (23mm, 13.27 g, 12h). Dated RY 12 of Severus Alexander (AD 232/233). Draped bust right, wearing stephane / Zeus, holding patera and scepter, reclining left on eagle standing facing, head right, with wings displayed; palm frond to lower left, L IB (date) to upper left. Köln –; Dattari (Savio) 4533; K&G 64.103; Emmett 3236.12 (R5). Dark brown surfaces with traces of verdigris in the devices, obverse die shift. Good VF. Rare type for this regnal year.
